Wazalendo will look to maximise on their chances and play to their strengths when they face Ghana Revenue Authority in their second match at the ongoing African Cup for Club Championship, Ghana today.

Coach Ngungu Njogu said Wazalendo's 2-1 loss to Zamalek on Wednesday is a wake-up call and will take a cautious approach against the hosts, who will be backed by their fans.

"We need to close in on the fine margins. We had so many penalty corners that were not converted. Obviously, it's a different team with home ground advantage and the fans but we are hopeful of doing better," Njogu said.

"We started conservative today (Wednesday) but grew into the match. We have to play to our strength. In our assessment, we are the youngest team with average age of around 24 and in that respect, we are fairly considered underdogs"

Team manager Gabriel Onkundi observed that the players are keen to make amends despite the weather posing a challenge to their match preparations.

"It is different to what we are used to in Nairobi and we expect it to take a toll on the players but we have varied our training accordingly in order to reduce the potential impact. I expect the players to cope and hopefully, we can get a better result."

"Playing in this year's showpiece has been quite a struggle and therefore the experience will be a big step forward. We are proud of the boys and the future looks bright," said Onkundi.
