The World Athletics Championships finally came to an end on August 27 in Hungary, Budapest.

The United States led the standings with a total of 29 medals-12 golds, eight silver, and nine bronze in dominating fashion.

The next-closest country was Jamaica, with 12 overall.

Kenya and Great Britain both had 10, and Ethiopia had nine.
