- The singer also dismissed claims that her wedding is fake, saying she does not need to chase clout to make money.
She also told off her haters who asked her why her man could not buy her the gown. Akothee said he had paid for everything else for their wedding.
Singer and businesswoman Akothee and her fiancé, Schweizer 'Omosh', will wed on April 10, which is also her birthday.
Akothee, through her Facebook page, says that everything is set for her big day.
She returned from Europe the other day where she had gone to buy her wedding gown.
Akothee said she paid for an extra plane ticket for her gown to fly business class.
Speaking to online median, Akothee said the gown was a gift to herself.
"The gown cost me about Sh700k to purchase in one of the best places in the world," she said.
Akothee also dismissed claims that her wedding is fake, saying she does not need to chase clout to make money.
"I made money a long time ago. I am living my original life. If I can buy a V8, a chopper for myself, why can't I buy myself an expensive gown? That is peanut money," she said.
She also told off her haters who asked her why her man could not buy her the gown.
Akothee said he had paid for everything else for their wedding.
"If he has paid [for] everything for the wedding, why should I not buy something for myself? The wedding day will also be my birthday and that is my gift," she said.
Earlier, Akothee said she does not have a wedding committee and that her bestie Sandra Dacha was tasked with planning the wedding.
She also promised her man that she would never cheat on him.
The mother of five explained that once she sets her eyes on a particular man other men become like blood brothers.
"I have no reasons to cheat. I date one man at a time when I fall in love," she said.
Akothee said they will not fight over money because she knows how to make her own and doesn't depend on a man.
Akothee made public her relationship with her mzungu boyfriend last year.
This is not the first time Akothee has told her fans that she is having a wedding.
