Robert Burale

Transformational speaker Robert Burale is attracted to a woman who understands herself and God.

The image consultant and pastor still believes in marriage despite his divorce. He has been celibate since 2013 after his marriage ended.

"I desire marriage. I do not have the grace to be single," he told Word Is.

"We are relational beings and I know it will happen."

He described marriage as a godly idea and said he believes in companionship.

"Sex is important in marriage even for us believers, but it's not everything."

So is he dating? "Keep your eyes open, keep your ears on the ground," he said.

Despite being criticised for giving marriage and relationship advice while unmarried, he says he has been there, hence is the best person to advise others who might need it.

Burale said he seeks advice from other people despite being a life coach. He said sometimes, things do not just work out.

"I also take advice from other people, such as pastors, coaches and so on."

On whether he also takes his own advice when approaching life, he said, "I do not say what I do not believe in. Most people question whether I use my advice because of my divorce.

"Some things you learn from experience, some you learn from divine mandate, and some things are inspired by the knowledge of God."

He describes his style as classy and assured.

"I do not do fashion, I do style. Fashion is temporary, style is permanent," he said.

"20 or 30 years from now, I believe I will still be a stylish old man. I am currently in my 40s."

The motivational speaker-cum-life coach says he has been keeping busy by running RB Company, which deals with coaching, advising and mentoring Kenyans from all walks of life.

"We hope to get bigger and better this year, dealing with men's sexuality, finances, mental health, among other things."

Burale is the author of 'Mask off: From the strip club to the pulpit' and '365 with the coach'. He is set to release his latest book, 'The day the world ended'.
