The Kenya Film Commission has announced its commitment to creating a screening culture in the country through partnering with My Movies Africa.
KFC chief executive Timothy Owase says the commission is looking forward to engaging in The Great Night In, an online watch party.
“As we get into the future, this is a product that the board can work with. I call upon Kenyan producers to utilise this forum to monetize their content to the world through this technology."
'The Great Night In' is a project where viewers will be able to exclusively meet the cast and crew via Zoom.
KFC has been promoting the local film industry and is required to help the country achieve 60 per cent local content among broadcasters.
The debut of 'The Great Night In' screened the internationally-acclaimed true story of Africa's first female lacrosse team, 'Sleeping Warrior'.
