Sharon Obara was over the weekend crowned this year's Miss World Kenya. Sharon said her dream came true.
"I am humbled to have been the one bestowed with the honour to represent Kenya," she said.
Leopard Point Luxury Beach Resort and Spa Malindi chairman Antonio Colleluori congratulated her, adding that beauty connects people and union creates strength and wealth.
"It was truly an exclusive luxury experience to participate and witness this amazing event that pays homage to the value of the beauty of this great country and its people," he said.
Chantou Kwamboka and Mwihaki Njogu took second and third place respectively.
ICT CS Joe Mucheru and Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris were some of the government officials present.
The CS was accompanied by Uhuru's son Jomo Kenyatta and Jomo Pratt.
