Steak sandwiches are a delicious and filling meal that can be enjoyed any time of the day.

Whether you're looking for a hearty breakfast, a satisfying lunch, or a quick dinner, a steak sandwich is a great option.

There are many ways of making this delectable meal, let's explore one of them.

Firstly, get your hands on the freshest bread available and make sure your slices are slightly thick.

Preferably get baguette bread. Next, head to your butcher of choice and acquire steaks that are grill friendly such as skirt steak or sirloin steak.

Make sure you have the following ingredients, salt, pepper, olive oil, onions, mushrooms, mustard, ketchup, butter, soy sauce, mayonnaise, lettuce, and mushrooms.

Let's dive into the process, grab your baguette and slice it in half. Season it with a pinch of salt and pepper not forgetting to butter it on all sides.

Proceed to place the bread on a hot grilling pan, making sure it achieves a crisp golden brown interior and a fluffy exterior.

Grab your steak and season it with salt, pepper, and olive oil, then preheat a pan or grill to high heat.

Add a small amount of oil or butter to the pan and heat until it shimmers.

Grill the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer if desired. Use tongs to flip the steak.

Add your onions and mushrooms next to the steak and grill them till caramelized. Make sure the onions are in ring form while the mushrooms are chopped.

Remove the steak from the pan or grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

This allows the juices to redistribute and ensures a juicier steak. A very important step. Once the steak has rested, slice it against the grain into thin strips.

Prepare your dipping sauce by combining mayonnaise, mustard, and chili sauce, if you want a kick of heat on the sandwich.

Finally assemble your sandwich by first spreading butter once more on the baguette, followed by layering the lettuce and caramelized onions and mushrooms.

Place your sliced steak on the baguette and douse it in your dipping sauce.

Finally take a bit of your tasty steak sandwich that is meaty, juicy, tender, and full of flavor.
