Nominated Senator Beth Mugo and Amb Nicholas Mugo on Friday celebrated their golden 61st wedding anniversary.
The milestone event, held at Villa Lalibela in her Kitusuru compound, featured a church service led by Rev Judy Mgugua and Evangelist Lucy Wanguiri.
Senator Mugo told the gathering, “[Couples] please join us and read to each other while meaning every word. Those in relationships [leading to marriage] or still praying for partners.”
The chief guest President Uhuru Kenyatta presided over the event, leading family and friends to dinner and cake cutting.
