Tired of eating beef every day, fried pork is very easy to make.

When making fried pork, the dish should be prepared in a delicate way, lest, you end up with dry tough pork.

Do not add salt while boiling, add it while cooking.

Adding in a squeeze of lemon juice can help tenderise the pork while it is boiling under medium heat.

Ingredients

  • ½ kg pork
  • salt and pepper
  • onions and tomatoes (optional)
  • crushed garlic
  • 3 ½ cups of maize flour
  • water

Preparation

How to make fried pork

Step 1

Heat the oil over medium heat in a pan.

Step 2

In a bowl, combine the salt, pepper and diced pork, then fry in the oil.

Step 3

Add in garlic and onions after frying for three minutes, fry until golden brown.

Step 4

Reduce the heat then add in blended tomatoes for that extra sauce. Cover and cook for four minutes.

 

Step 5

Stir well then remove from heat and serve hot.

You can also roast it instead.

How to make ugali

Step 1

Pour two cups of water into a pan and bring to a boil.

Step 2

Add a cup of maize flour and pound over medium heat, adding bits of flour at a time, until the consistency is even and well cooked.

Step 4

Lower the heat and let it bake for seven minutes.

Serve hot and enjoy with a plate of greens and avocado.
