The fashion show was one of the highlights at this year’s Turkana Cultural and Tourism Festival. Hundreds of residents flocked the Ekalees centre to cheer models as they showcased various attires on the catwalk.
Various casual smart, traditional and official attires were among the designs displayed. In what was a unique break from normal fashion shows, the models were further tested on various cultural aspects including preparation of traditional foods.
23-year-old Lokiridi Lokwawi from Kibish sub-county was crowned the winner.
