
R&B icon Babyface brought together an all-star lineup of music figures, including Kenny G, The Whispers, L.A. Reid and members of The Deele, for a special episode of Cadillac Chronicles TV filmed in Atlanta.
Cadillac Chronicles TV host Brian Freeman shared details of the gathering on Instagram, describing the episode as a showcase of Babyface’s musical legacy and one featuring “one of the most iconic lineups ever.”
“So, the living legend @babyface came through to @cadillacchroniclestv with nothing but absolute hits,” Freeman said.
“He brought with him one of the most iconic lineups ever @kennyg @themightywhispers @la_reid & the Deele.”
The episode was filmed aboard a 1974 Cadillac Eldorado convertible and brought together artists and collaborators connected to different stages of Babyface’s career.
The first instalment has already been released, with additional content expected in subsequent episodes.
Freeman said the gathering reflected the depth of Babyface’s work and influence in music.
“It really shows how deep his bag is,” Freeman said.
“One of the true architects of music and a certified GOAT. A bunch of legendary conversations were had, moments were created, and history was captured.”
He added: “Nothing but love and the utmost respect for all of the icons.”
The lineup included longtime collaborator L.A. Reid, with whom Babyface co-founded LaFace Records, members of The Deele, saxophonist Kenny G and R&B group The Whispers.
