Fans of the late TikTok content creator Brian Chira have praised Ann Njoki Mwangangi, a mortician from Nyahuru for a job well done.

Tiktoker Queen Fridah in a video shared on Tiktok on Tuesday praised the mortician for doing a good job and acknowledged her as the best mortician for dressing Chira.

She said that just like many fans, she was worried about how Chira would look during the public viewing of the body since his head was disfigured after the accident.

“ We have viewed Chira's body and si vile tulikuwa tunatarajia. Guys , Ann Mwangangi amefanya kazi mzuri. Yaani yule Madam. You deserve your flowers," Queen Fridah said.

This loosely translates to: We have viewed Chira's body and it's not what we expected. Guys, Ann Mwangangi has done a good job. That lady, you deserve your flowers.

Chira was to be buried in a graduation gown as revealed by his close friend and content creator Baba Talisha.

Baba Talisha said they decided to do so after Chira's grandmother made the special request.

The viewing of the body happened at Kenyatta Funeral Home and not at the grandmother's home in line with the  Kikuyu tradition.

The late Chira's fans went on showering the mortician with praises.

"Be blessed and receive our flowers from the bottom of our hearts," said Rinahefumbi.

"She does her work na roho safi, may God bless her so much, "Queenmorah :

"God bless you Ann because some people were afraid of viewing but Ann is blessed, "heilah Andai.

"God bless you. You are a superwoman. A true gift from God," Claudia :

"God bless the work of your hands," Asha.

Mwangangi, is known for her compassion in beating the odds as far as sharing her experiences as a mortician on TikTok is concerned.

In a previous interview with Radio Jambo last year, Mwangangi revealed that what motivated her to become a mortician was when her mother passed away and she lacked a proper support system.

“The reason why I decided to become a mortician was because of my tragedy. I didn’t get to grieve the right way. I was stuck and struggled for a very long time," she said.

Four years later after her mother’s death, Mwangangi was able to heal emotionally and get closure.

It was then that she decided to study mortician science.

“I really would have liked it if there was someone to hold my hand and take me through the mourning and transition process. So I said I would help someone else to transition through grief. I never got to experience that. That is what inspired me to be a mortician,” Mwangangi revealed.

Despite handling corpses, she notes that morticians are the main people who assist the bereaved family in the transition after grief.

Mwangangi adds that counselling comes in handy with the work morticians do as they prepare the family to go to through stages of mourning.
