Radisson Blu celebrates flagship hotel in Nairobi

After a series of soft launches, Radisson Blu hotel in Upperhill, Nairobi was officially opened on Friday evening by Rezidor Hotel Group president and CEO Wolfgang Neumann. The swanky invite only party started out in the ballroom where there were speeches from investors including Elgon Road Development MD Michael Kairu who is the Kenyan investor on the project.

After a series of soft launches, Radisson Blu hotel in Upperhill, Nairobi was officially opened on Friday evening by Rezidor Hotel Group president and CEO Wolfgang Neumann.

Anna Othoro represented Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero and was delighted that Radisson Blu chose Kenya to open up their flagship hotel in the region.

Children from the SOS Village gave a beautiful poem and song. Neumann is quite passionate about the Village having climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for house no 15.

The celebrations then continued onto the outside terrace where there was plenty of food and drink while award winning boy band Sauti Sol did their magic on stage.

In attendance were Kenya Law Reform Commission chairman Mbage Njuguna Ng'ang'a, Swedish deputy head of mission Fredrik Folkunger, CIC Group CEO Tony Gitogo, Water and Irrigation PS Patrick Nduati Mwangi and Kenya Tourism Federation acting CEO Suzan M Ongalo.
