The introduction of Huduma cards has digitalized all our documents and identifications into one single card.

The bulkiness and the stress of having to carry along our documents wherever we go has been reduced.

However, there is still a risk of Huduma cards being misused just like national identity cards have always been used to commit grave crimes and leaving the authentic owners to answer for mistakes they know nothing about.

This is even riskier because it’s like putting all your eggs in one basket thereby making it easier and faster for criminals and fraudsters to manipulate them and use them for their inferior motives.

As much as Huduma cards have a more positive impact on Kenyans, the government should have considered all the boons and banes coming with the package and the necessary measures put in place to curb future hiccups when everyone must have officiated the use of these cards.

On the same note, children should not be allowed to operate the cards until they become of age to do so.

This should be a directive from the government so that below eighteen years children don’t get chances to misuse the cards just like it has been done with the national identity cards.
