LGBT people are completely normal. They are human and I and only wish to lead happy, healthy lives, provide for their families and to love and be loved back.

As a nation we have some shared values. The first is freedom and equality. Every Kenyan agrees that everyone is entitled to this right and it is enshrined in Article 27 of the 2010 Constitution.

Another value is hard work. That means getting a job, making money and being able to provide for your loved ones. It is not a Kenyan law that LGBT people can be fired based on their sexual orientation.

The LGBT community makes a decent portion of the population. They are part of our society and normal like us.

Everyone, including LGBT people, deserves every bit of freedom, equality and representation that everyone else does.

They are wonderful, bright and accepting people. To pretend that they are anything less is a lie. We must end the stigma towards this community and embrace them. Love always wins.
