Deputy President Kithure Kindiki now says that the Kenya Kwanza administration is only competing with its manifesto.

Speaking during an economic empowerment meeting at Igegania in Gatundu North, Kiambu county, Kindiki said the administration has no time to waste and their focus is on fulfilling as many promises as they can in the time that remains before 2027.

We know that we have an assignment ahead of us. We are competing with our manifesto, the promises we made to the people of Kenya to make sure that we fulfil as many promises as possible because it possible for a government to be elected on the basis of a manifesto and live to the fulfilment of that manifesto. We have no time to waste,” he said.

The Deputy President said that he has seen some people saying that they know politics better than the current leaders but that is not the government's focus at the moment.

He insisted that there is time and season for everything, and that when time for politics comes every one will have to come with their scorecard.

Kindiki said that even the people who are claiming to be their opponents, most of them have had an opportunity to serve in government and they had time to work.

“I have seen some people out there making fun of us that we don't know politics, we don't know how to campaign, and they are the ones who know politics. The Bible says that everything has its season, there is a time for work and a time for politics, a time to plant and a time to harvest. This is the time for work. It is not a time to fight over who will have which seat.

“When that time comes, we will battle with those men and they will not believe it. On that day, everyone will come out with their scorecard. All those claiming to be our opponents had an opportunity and time to do something for the people of Kenya,” the DP said.
