

The County Government of Nyeri has announced the recruitment of 200 interns in various departments.
In a notice, the county government said the opportunity is available to candidates who graduated and possess a Degree, Diploma and/or Certificates from 2021.
To get the full details of the requirements for appointment and internship, application forms can be accessed through the county website www.nyeri.go.ke.
The county noted that a hard copy of the duly filed internship application form together with copies of all academic and professional certificates should be sent or hand delivered to The Secretary Nyeri County, Public Service Board offices, PO Box 90-10100 Nyeri.
The county said all applications (hand-delivered or through post office) should be received on or before December 20, 2024, by 5pm.
It directed that any communication from the county public service board will be shared through the provided address and the cellphone +25745342000.
The county cautioned against conmanship, stating that it does not charge for any of the recruitment exercises, including shortlisting and appointment.
“Any request for payment of favor should therefore be reported to the county public service board or police for appropriate action."
The county encouraged persons living with disabilities, marginalised and minorities to apply.
The posts available for application
The available internship positions include five at the governor's office, ten at the Department of County Public Service and Solid Waste Management and ten at the County Public Service Management.
Others include 22 vacancies county department of education and devolution, 24 at the department of agriculture, livestock, and aquaculture development, and, nine posts at the trade, tourism, culture and cooperative development.
There are also internship posts at the county Department of Water, irrigation, environment and Climate Change (20), and the Department of Gender, youth, sports and social services (20).
Others are the department of lands, physical planning and urban development (18), the department of health services (22), finance, economic planning and ICT (17) and the department of transport, public works, infrastructure and energy (23).
