Suspect in murder of Wells Fargo boss dies

A key suspect in the ongoing probe into the murder of Wells Fargo Human Resources Manager Willis Ayieko is dead.

The suspect, who was hospitalised at a facility in Siaya County, succumbed to injuries she sustained during an exchange of fire with the police.

The deceased has been arrested in possession of a firearm belonging to Ayieko.

Police say the woman who was travelling with her boyfriend was injured during a shootout with the police when the vehicle they were travelling in was intercepted on Wednesday.

The security officers further said that the woman was rushed to a hospital in Yala, Siaya County, for medical attention, where she eventually succumbed to her injuries. 

Police said the boyfriend managed to flee.
