ODM leader Raila Odinga has celebrated his 79th birthday with children from eight children's homes in Malindi.

The celebration took place at the Malindi Orphanage in Malindi town.

Raila dedicated his birthday to the liberation of the children and people of Palestine.

The ODM leader sympathized with the deteriorating children's welfare in the Gaza Strip following the continued bombing.

"What is happening in Gaza is genocide. Children are the flowers of the nation and if there are no children then the country cannot thrive," he said.

The opposition leader urged President William Ruto to condemn the continued killing of children in Gaza.

"I want to tell William Ruto that he should condemn the ongoing attacks. You cannot continue to kill children even if you are offended.
