A 40-year-old man was killed by an ox-drawn cart in an accident in Tala, Machakos.
Police said David Kyalo was transporting farm-yard manure to Sengani area when he stepped out to direct the ox pulling the cart.
According to police, he stepped on a stone, slid, and fell on the ground as the cart moved.
The cart ran over him injuring him in the chest, police and witnesses said.
He was rushed to Matakutha Health Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body was moved to Machakos Funeral Home Mortuary waiting for autopsy.
Elsewhere, a bodaboda rider and his pillion passenger were killed in an accident along the Kilifi-Malindi highway.
Police and witnesses said the two were headed to the Malindi general direction when the rider rammed into a stationary lorry.
As a result, they died on the spot, police said of the Tuesday morning incident.
Police arrived at the scene and picked up the bodies to the mortuary pending probe.
In Embakasi, Nairobi, a rider was killed in an accident at the JKIA underpass.
Police said Bosco Ndege Mwangi rammed into a stationary lorry.
As a result, he sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.
Along Kitale-Webuye road at Matunda area a pedestrian was killed in an accident.
The man was killed on the spot, police said.
