ODM party will hold its grassroots elections early next year.
This was arrived at during the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Wednesday.
The meeting was chaired by the national chairman John Mbadi.
"The party will hold its grassroots elections early next year. The dates for this exercise will announced by the National Executive Committee," the party statement stated.
The party's NEC met under the leadership of party leader Raila Odinga to deliberate on various agendas.
It will be the first time the party holds its election after a long time.
Various members and supporters of the party have previously been calling for elections to boost the leadership of the outfit.
However attempts to hold elections have been postponed numerous times for various reasons.
