The bipartisan team selected by Kenya Kwanza and Azimio La Umoja has constituted a sub-committee of six members to discuss IEBC reforms.
While addressing the media, Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo said Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna will convene the Azimio team, while Senator Hillary Sigei will lead the Kenya Kwanza side.
Other members on the Azimio side include; Millie Odhiambo, and Senator Wambua
On Kenya Kwanza are MP Mwangi Mutuse and Boni Khalwale.
The team agreed that the constitution of the IEBC will be prioritised and will be addressed in their next meeting.
The bipartisan team will also conduct the talks outside of Parliament, however, regularly consult the House on the need basis
“We settled on a hybrid process where we recognised that Parliament may have a role. We agreed that we will engage Parliament where necessary but otherwise the process essentially is outside of Parliament,” Otiende Amollo said
