Machogu vows to tighten noose on exam cheating

Says he will leave nothing to chance as far as administration of national exams is concerned

Education CS Ezekiel Machogu has committed to curb irregularity in the upcoming national exams.

Machogu who was speaking at Kisumu Girls said the government is committed to ensure credible examinations.

"We will leave nothing to chance as far as the administration of national exams is concerned,"Machogu said.

The CS added that he is working in harmony with two other ministries to ensure a transparent examination process. The ministries are ICT led by CS Eliud Owalo and Ministry of Interior led by CS Kithure Kindiki.

"The multi agency team is ready, keen and vigilant to deliver uncompromised and successful examination process for year 2022," he said.

Machogu was accompanied by Early Learning and Basic Education PS Julius Jwan, Knec Ceo David Njengere, Secondary Education director Paul Kibet among others.

Those in Standard 8 and Form 4 will sit their KCPE, KCSE examinations between November and December.

The national exams administered during this period will be for the 2022 candidates.

KCPE exam will run between November 28 and December 1, while the KCSE exam will be done from December 1 to December 23.

During the same period, primary schools will administer the national assessment for the pioneer cohort of the competency-based curriculum.
