
World football governing body FIFA has unveiled a record prize fund of $871 million for the expanded 2026 FIFA World Cup, with champions set to pocket $51 million.
The runners-up will earn $34 million, while the third-placed team will receive $30 million and the fourth-placed side $28 million.
Quarter-finalists will each take home $20 million, Round of 16 teams $16 million, and Round of 32 teams $12 million.
Teams eliminated in the group stage will still receive $10 million each.
Additionally, all 48 participating nations will receive at least $2.5 million in preparation funding from FIFA.
