Bedbugs are tiny insects that feed on human blood, mostly at night, and can easily spread through luggage, clothing, furniture, and bedding.
Contrary to common belief, bedbugs are not linked to poor hygiene and can infest both clean and dirty spaces.
They commonly hide in mattresses, bed frames, furniture, and curtains, making them difficult to detect during the day because of their small, flat, reddish-brown appearance.
Although bedbugs cannot fly, they move quickly across floors, walls, and ceilings, allowing infestations to spread rapidly in hotels, apartments, households, and even public transport.
Washing clothes and bedding in hot water may help control infestations, but professional pest control is often needed to eliminate them.
