Nutrition experts have highlighted several foods and drinks that can help muscles recover faster after exercise, underscoring the importance of proper post-workout nutrition.

According to information shared by Healthline, foods rich in protein, healthy fats and essential nutrients play a key role in repairing muscles, restoring energy and reducing soreness after physical activity.

Among the recommended foods are fatty fish, eggs, chicken, Greek yoghurt and protein shakes, all known for their high protein content. Sweet potatoes, potatoes and bananas were also listed for helping replenish lost energy.

Pomegranate juice and milk were further highlighted for supporting hydration and muscle recovery after intense workouts.
