Tanzania registered a drop in prices from $864 to $807, suggesting improved supply or reduced demand pressures.
In contrast, Uganda experienced a modest rise from $769 to $797, while Rwanda’s prices also edged up from $603 to $624.
The data, compiled by the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), highlights uneven trends across the region, driven by factors such as harvest performance, cross-border trade, and local consumption patterns.
Overall, bean prices remain relatively high, underlining ongoing food cost pressures for households in East Africa.
