Gigantomastia can cause persistent breast pain, repeated infections, and discomfort from the weight of overly large breasts.

Common signs include neck and back pain, poor posture, nipple-sensory changes, and difficulty walking or exercising.

Some people experience itchy or inflamed skin beneath the breasts, or challenges with breastfeeding such as low milk supply or mastitis.

Treatment depends on severity. Medications can slow or stop tissue growth, while surgery—such as breast reduction or mastectomy—may remove excess tissue. Recovery often involves repositioning the nipple and a short hospital stay
