World Tourism Day is marked every year on 27th September to
highlight the social, cultural, political and economic value of tourism.
Established in 1980 by the United Nations World Tourism
Organization (UNWTO), the day serves as a reminder of the importance of tourism
in fostering global understanding and driving sustainable growth.
Each year, the event is celebrated under a different theme
to reflect emerging trends and challenges in the sector.
