In Summary

The Missing Voices Annual Report 2024 recorded 55 cases of enforced disappearance.

Of these, 82% (45 victims) were male, 16% (9 victims) were female, and 2% (1 victim) was listed as unidentified.

Enforced disappearance is defined as the arrest, detention, or abduction of a person by the state or its agents without acknowledging the action or revealing the person’s fate or location.

The gender breakdown shows that men remain the most affected demographic, though the presence of female victims also signals broader concerns over the scope of abuse.
