Officer Leonard Mwangi has been acquitted on all three counts of murder
Justice Jessie Lessit wants another judge to handle the sentencing but the parties want her to conclude the probe.
The judgement came six years after the gruesome murder of the rights lawyer.
Justice Jessie Lessit concluded the case early this year and set the judgement to 60 days but in communication to parties this week she set the date for July 22.
