Most preferred governor candidate in Murang'a

Senator Irungu Kang'ata leads with 58 per cent popularity rating.

Results of a Tifa opinion survey indicating the popularity of gubernatorial candidates for the August 9, 2022 general election.

TIFA research firm on Thursday released results of an opinion poll which indicated that Murang'a senator Irungu Kanga’ta was the most preferred candidate in the governor race.

The survey said Kang'ata enjoys 58 per cent support of the electorate followed by Jamleck Kamau of Jubilee at 13 per cent.

Wairagu wa Maai and Irungu Nakera had five and three per cent support, respectively.

The poll had a margin of error of +/-4.9 per cent.

The data was collected on June 25 and 26, 2022.

The views of 407 registered male and female voters were collected via telephone interviews.
