A communication officer in one of the newly established offices in government has opted to resign. Reason? A statement he recently made that appeared to challenge a decision by a high ranking state official has landed him in hot soup. Corridors is informed the man was reprimanded by his bosses for issuing reports without consulting that he has decided to quit on “personal grounds”. His stay, we are told, was no longer tenable as he has been under pressure to offer public apology for going against the grain. The statement, which appeared on the official page, has since been taken down.
