A former MP from a county in the Rift Valley is working day and night to ensure a first term governor from the region is not reelected. The man is so bitter with the county chief after he allegedly reneged on a pre-election campaign pledge to him. Insiders say the ex-MP, who did not defend his seat after he was prevailed upon to drop his bid for governor, is bitter after the county chief failed to keep his promise. The governor had reportedly promised the former legislator plum county jobs as well as lucrative tenders. Apparently he hasn't delivered any to him.
