A second-term Member of Parliament from Central has been called out for apparently backing the sale of chang'aa in his village. Recently, his neighbour died after allegedly consuming the substandard drink, turning him into a laughing stock. Corridors of Power is apprised that the MP has been working in cahoots with the brewers. Locals are now planning to demonstrate against the lawmaker in protest to avert further crisis. The MP is further accused of disrespecting locals by chest-thumping that there is nothing they would do. Those after him want the county commissioner and the area governor to transfer all police officers apparently on the MP’s payroll.
