Jubilee Deputy party leader Fred Matiang'i Wednesday met Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna in a meeting that has fuelled speculation over possible political realignments ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The Nairobi meeting was also attended by several leaders allied to the two camps, with photos shared online showing the leaders exchanging greetings before posing for a group photograph.

In a short video clip circulating on social media, Matiang'i was heard saying, "Just met with this team and wished them well," as he shook hands with Sifuna.
Sifuna, in a light-hearted exchange, invited Matiang'i to visit Western.
Matiang’i responded saying "Tumefunga Kisii," suggesting confidence in the region's political support.

Funyula MP Wilberforce Oundo, who was among those present, added to the banter, saying, "Tunaenda kufunga Western. Kuja tutembee na wewe Western," as the leaders laughed and continued their conversation.
While no official details of the discussions were disclosed, the meeting is likely to spark fresh debate over possible cooperation between opposition figures as political consultations and alliance-building intensify ahead of the next election.
