'Thank you, Pauline': Jubilee hails Njoroge's 14-year contribution after exit

The Jubilee Party has formally hailed former Deputy Organising Secretary Pauline Njoroge following her resignation, describing her as a dedicated leader whose contribution helped shape the party over the last 14 years.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Jubilee Secretary General Moitalel Ole Kenta acknowledged Njoroge's resignation from both her party position and membership, thanking her for her years of service and wishing her well in the next chapter of her political journey.

Speaking through the statement, the party said Njoroge had served with commitment, conviction and resilience in various capacities since joining its ranks.

"For the past fourteen years, Pauline has served our Party with remarkable commitment, conviction, and resilience in various capacities. Throughout her journey, she distinguished herself as a dedicated patriot, a passionate advocate for democratic ideals, and a steadfast champion of the values and vision upon which Jubilee Party was founded," the statement said.

The party said leadership is a journey of service and noted that Njoroge had played her role with distinction, adding that while her departure marked the end of an important chapter, it respected her decision.

"While her departure marks the end of an important chapter, we respect her decision and acknowledge the invaluable contribution she made to the growth and strengthening of our Party during her tenure," the statement read.

Jubilee further wished Njoroge God's guidance, wisdom, good health and success as she embarks on a new phase of her political career.

"On behalf of the leadership, members, and our supporters, we say thank you, Pauline, for your commitment, your service, and your enduring contribution to the Party. We wish you nothing but the very best in the years ahead," Ole Kenta said.

Njoroge announced her resignation earlier on Tuesday, bringing to an end a 14-year association with the party and its predecessor, The National Alliance (TNA).

In her resignation statement, she said she had stepped down as Jubilee's Deputy Organising Secretary, a member of the National Executive Committee and as a party member with immediate effect.

Njoroge traced her political journey to 2012 when she joined TNA as Communications Manager before the party merged with the United Republican Party (URP) to form the Jubilee Party.

She described the period as transformational, saying it had shaped her thinking and provided an opportunity to serve during one of Kenya's most significant political periods.

Njoroge also paid tribute to former President Uhuru Kenyatta, describing him as a mentor and political father who entrusted her with responsibility and invested in her leadership growth.

She revealed that she has been part of the Linda Mwananchi movement since February and said she would now dedicate herself fully to the initiative, which she said is founded on constitutionalism, accountability, servant leadership and people-centred governance.
