The Anti-Female Genital Mutilation (Anti-FGM) Board has extended the application deadline for three advertised job vacancies to July 24, 2026, giving qualified candidates additional time to submit their applications.
In an addendum issued by the Board, the new deadline replaces the earlier closing date, with applications now expected to be submitted by 5:00 p.m. East African Time on Friday, July 24, 2026.
The Anti-FGM Board is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Gender, Culture and Children Services mandated to implement the Prohibition of Female Genital Mutilation Act, 2011. The Board's mission is to eliminate female genital mutilation and promote a society free from the harmful practice.
The recruitment exercise seeks to fill three positions: Chief Executive Officer, Deputy Director for Human Resource Management and Administration, and Accountant. Each position has one vacancy.
According to the Board, interested applicants must meet the qualifications and requirements outlined on its official website before submitting their applications through the institution's online recruitment portal.
The Board emphasised that all applications must be submitted electronically in PDF format through its recruitment platform. It added that no hand-delivered applications will be accepted under any circumstances.
Applicants have been advised to visit the board's careers page to access detailed job descriptions, qualifications, and application guidelines before completing the online application process.
The Anti-FGM Board also reiterated its commitment to fair and transparent recruitment, noting that it is an equal opportunity employer. It warned that any form of canvassing will result in automatic disqualification from the recruitment process.
The extension is expected to provide more time for qualified professionals who may have been unable to complete their applications before the initial deadline.
The Board continues to play a key role in coordinating national efforts to eradicate female genital mutilation through advocacy, policy implementation, public awareness campaigns, partnerships with stakeholders, and enforcement of the Prohibition of Female Genital Mutilation Act.
Successful applicants will join the institution as it continues to strengthen its mandate of protecting the rights of women and girls and advancing the country's efforts toward ending female genital mutilation.
