Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen on Saturday presented a school bus to Tenwek High School in Bomet County on behalf of President William Ruto during the school's prize-giving and students' motivation day.
Murkomen described the institution as "a cradle for shaping character, a hub for nurturing leadership and an invaluable launchpad for successful careers in diverse fields."
While addressing students, the CS urged them to embrace discipline, saying it was key to success in school and beyond.
"I emphasised the role of personal discipline as a cornerstone of academic success and achievement in life," Murkomen said.
The event was attended by Basic Education Principal Secretary John Ololtuaa, Environment and Climate Change Principal Secretary Dr Eng Festus Ng'eno, Bomet Senator Hillary Sigei and MPs Linet Chepkorir, Richard Kilel and Joyce Korir.
Former MPs Wilson Sossion, Benard Bett and Nick Salat, Bomet County Commissioner Caroline Nzwili, County Administration Police Commander Damaris Wambugu, MCAs and other leaders also attended the function.
