

The body of a 68-year-old man who had been reported missing more than two weeks ago has been recovered from River Sosiani in Turbo Sub-County, Uasin Gishu County.
According to police, the body was found in an advanced state of decomposition by a fisherman who had been fishing.
Police officers responded to the scene and found the body, which relatives positively identified as that of David Tuluzo.
Police said he had been reported missing on June 17, 2026, and a missing person alert had been circulated.
Officers processed the scene before the body was moved to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) mortuary.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted to establish the cause of death as investigations continue.
Elsewhere, police in Murang’a County have launched investigations after a 62-year-old man was found dead by the roadside in Murang’a East Sub-County.
The incident was reported to Murang’a Police Station on Monday evening after relatives found the body of George Kibobo lying beneath a small tree along a road in Township Location.
Police officers visited the scene and found the deceased with no visible external injuries.
Scenes of Crime personnel processed and documented the scene as part of ongoing investigations into the cause of death.
The body was moved to the Murang’a Level Five Hospital mortuary, where it will undergo a post-mortem examination. Police said investigations are ongoing.
Meanwhile, police in Mandera County have launched investigations and a manhunt after an Ethiopian herdsman died from injuries reportedly sustained during an assault following a dispute in Elwak.
According to police, the incident was reported at Elwak Police Station on Monday after the victim, identified only as Guye, died from head injuries while undergoing treatment at Elwak Sub-County Referral Hospital.
Preliminary investigations indicate the incident occurred on Sunday at about 8 pm in Wargadud Township.
Police said the deceased was allegedly assaulted by another Ethiopian national, who is reported to have struck him on the head with a rungu following a disagreement.
The victim sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he died the following day while receiving treatment.
Police officers visited and documented the scene, while the body awaits preservation and a post-mortem examination.
The suspect remains at large, and police have launched a manhunt as investigations into the death continue, officials said on Wednesday.
