President Ruto's aide Farouk Kibet and Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah in Eldoret City on July 3, 2026/MATHEWS NDANYI National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula says the Kenya Kwanza coalition will launch a major "Tutam" campaign for President William Ruto, expressing confidence it will outmatch the opposition's campaigns.
Wetang'ula said calls for President Ruto to serve only one term would fade once the official campaign period begins.
He said President Ruto and his administration had focused on development over the past four years and would now begin engaging voters ahead of next year's General Election.
"We will go out and those shouting one term will disappear because they have no other agenda," Wetang'ula said.
He was speaking in Eldoret City, where he and President Ruto's aide Farouk Kibet led more than 20 MPs at a "Tutam" rally to drum up support for the President's re-election.
Others at the rally included Majority Leaders Kimani Ichung'wah and Aaron Cheruiyot, as well as MPs Didmus Barasa, John Bwire, Innocent Mugabe, Tindi Mwale, Phyllis Bartoo and Mishi Mboko, among others.
Farouk and Wetang'ula highlighted what they described as President Ruto's achievements, including efforts to promote national unity and development across the country.
"Ruto's record speaks for itself and we are here to ask our people to keep peace and register as voters so that they elect President Ruto again come next year," Farouk said.

Wetang'ula said anyone promoting tribalism was an enemy of Kenya and should not be given the opportunity to lead.
"Our government has no ethnic boundaries. Ruto goes to all parts of the country launching work on projects to lift Kenya from where we are to Singapore level," he said.
The Speaker cited projects including the ongoing construction of the Rironi-Mau Summit Road and the planned 4,000-bed multi-speciality Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, among other developments across the country.
He said all previous presidents had served two terms and dismissed calls for President Ruto to serve only one term.
"Ruto should be allowed to complete his term because he has a visiion to help generations into the future as we match towards Singapore status," Wetang'ula said.
He urged residents to register as voters, saying, "bad leaders are elected by good people who dont vote".
Farouk thanked Wetang'ula and leaders from Western Kenya for supporting President Ruto, saying the people of the Rift Valley would reciprocate the support.
"Wetangula is a strong national leader and when time comes we will remeber the support he has been giving Ruto."
Ichung'wah and Cheruiyot also campaigned for President Ruto and criticised opposition leaders.
"Some of them have been around for over 40 years and all they can show us is how to make their hair. Ruto will be back in state house even before they wake up on that day," Cheruiyot said.
He said President Ruto's record gave the Kenya Kwanza team confidence of securing a second term.
The leaders said the decision to work with ODM through the broad-based government had further strengthened President Ruto's re-election bid.
They said they would continue campaigning across the country in support of President Ruto's re-election next year.
