his home and killed him in Amayo village, Bondo, Siaya County.
Police believe the murder of the man identified as Hezron Nyamburi, 37, is linked to a murder incident in the area where he was a key witness.
He was a witness in the murder of Dennis Ambrose
Achieng, 75, on November 14, 2025, along Orengo-Gul Min Ougo Road, police said on

On January 16, 2026 afternoon, Nyamburi was abducted
from his home by unknown people and killed. His body was found dumped in a
swamp in Ndati village after the said murder, police said.

ridden away.
Police were called to the scene and picked up the
body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Detectives believe the murder is linked to the case
that is pending in court and they are pursuing the killers.
Locals demanded action on the murder amid fears of
retaliation. A suspect was arrested on Saturday over the earlier murder.

efforts were being made to apprehend the killers.
