President William Ruto today attended the 11th anniversary of Gospel Embassy Chapel in Kisii County.
Several other leaders from the Kenya Kwanza wing also attended the event.
They included Broadcasting and Telecommunication Principal Secretary Stephen Isaboke, National Assembly whip Sylvanus Osoro and UDA treasurer Japhet Nyakundi, among others.

During the event, President Ruto once again challenged his critics to present their development agenda to Kenyans instead of relying on politics of hate and division.
The President said Kenya must reject divisive politics and instead focus on unity, peace and prosperity. He pointed out that intelligent leaders explain their agenda and plan to the people.
"We have a problem in this country. Some leaders have no vision. And where there is no vision people perish. This is why we are asking those criticising our transformation agenda to tell us their alternative plans if they are, indeed, intelligent," President Ruto said.

On development in Kisii, the President said Sh32 billion was being invested in affordable housing, modern markets and student hostels in the county.
"No other government in the history of this country has allocated such huge resources to Kisii County to fund development," he pointed out.
He put non-performing contractors in government projects on notice, saying they must complete their work within the stipulated time. Additionally, President Ruto said the Kisii Agricultural Show offices will be moved from town to pave way for the expansion of Kisii Stadium.
Likewise, the President said Kisii Prison will be relocated from town to pave way for the building of 10,000 affordable housing units in the county. On the construction of a cancer centre in Kisii, President Ruto explained that the initial contractor had been kicked out for delaying the works and another had been identified and is on site.
"The government will not hesitate to terminate contracts of lazy contractors. Construction works should always be completed in time," he said.
