
Two suspects have been arrested after they allegedly fatally assaulted a 27-year-old man in the Villa area of Nairobi.
According to police, Alkuli Ali Mohamed died from injuries sustained during the attack. Officers said the victim had visible injuries on the face, with blood oozing from his mouth and ears.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy. The suspects were caught by residents and handed over to the police, who are interrogating them over the November 17, 2025 incident.
In Naiberi, at Kipkabus shopping centre in Uasin Gishu County, Jennifer Jelagat, 49, was found lying dead in the middle of a feeder road with a deep cut on the back of her head and bruises on her nose and upper eyelid.
She was rushed to hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Police said the body was preserved in the mortuary pending an autopsy. Two male suspects who were last seen with her were detained as investigations continue.
In Oyugis, Homa Bay County, 19-year-old Sammy Oswago was found dead after being assaulted by unknown individuals during an altercation. His body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy as investigations proceed.
In Matisi, Bungoma County, two school guards were arrested over the murder of a 25-year-old man they accused of stealing from Lugulu High School. The guards allegedly picked the victim from his home and assaulted him before taking him to the hospital, where he later died.
Police said the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy following the Monday evening incident.
Elsewhere in Emining, Mogotio, Baringo County, an eight-year-old boy drowned in the Isanda River. Police said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. The body was retrieved and taken to a local mortuary pending further procedures.
Meanwhile, police in Sengera, Manga, Nyamira County are hunting for a murder suspect who escaped by jumping out of a moving police vehicle.
The suspect, Jefferson Mokaya Miaka, 25, was among five murder suspects being transported from court to the local police station when he freed himself from handcuffs and leapt out of the vehicle along the Tinga–Magombo Road, vanishing into Ekoro village.
A manhunt that began immediately did not yield results, and the search continued on Tuesday, police said.
