President William Ruto inspecits the progress of Boma Yangu Wote Pool Affordable Housing Estate in Makueni on November 12, 2025 / PCS

President William Ruto on Wednesday inspected the progress of Boma Yangu Wote Pool Affordable Housing Estate, Wote affordable housing project, where 755 housing units are under construction.

The President affirmed his commitment to the affordable housing program, saying the government will invest Sh11 billion in the construction of houses, hostels in Makueni County.

The Boma Yangu Wote Pool Affordable Housing Estate, being implemented by Parklane Construction Company, is 50 per cent complete and is scheduled for completion by January 23, 2026.

The development will include a shopping centre, community hall, kindergarten, clubhouse, 65 commercial stalls, bore hole, secure boundary wall, backup generator, cabro-paved driveways, green spaces, garbage receptacles, and outdoor recreational areas for children.

The President was accompanied by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Lands CS Alice Wahome among other leaders.
