Activists call for peaceful protests over the abduction of Bob Njagi and Nicholas Oyoo in Uganda.

The whereabouts of the two activists remain unknown weeks after they were reportedly abducted in Uganda.

Ugandan authorities have, however, denied knowing their whereabouts.

The activists have now called for the occupation of the Ugandan Embassy in Nairobi and the closure of the Busia and Malaba borders.

They also want any Ugandan businesses shut down for the entire day on Tuesday.

Ministry of Health to launch 3 reports on quality of care in Kenya

The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with key partners, will on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, launch three major reports aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery and improving the quality of care in Kenya.

The event, themed “Unveiling Key Findings and Recommendations to Strengthen HealthCare Delivery and Quality of Care in Kenya,” will take place at the Nairobi Serena Hotel from 7:30 am to 12 pm.

The reports to be unveiled include the Quality of Care and Human Resources for Health Assessment Report, the Service Availability and Readiness Assessment (SARA) Report, and the Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health and Nutrition (RMNCAH+N) Investment Case.

The launch will feature remarks from development partners, the Principal Secretary for Health, and a keynote address by Cabinet Secretary for Health, Hon. Aden Duale, who will also preside over the official unveiling of the reports.

A press briefing will follow the launch to provide further details on the findings and recommendations outlined in the reports.

According to the Ministry, the documents mark the culmination of a collaborative effort involving the Kenyan Government, private sector, faith-based organisations, and development partners.

They provide key insights into the state of health service delivery, facility readiness, human resources for health, and the level of investment needed to improve outcomes in maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health and nutrition.

The Ministry said the reports are expected to guide evidence-based planning, strengthen accountability, and enhance resource allocation in Kenya’s healthcare system.

EACC boss to visit recovered Sh2.8 billion Karura Forest Land

EACC Chief Executive Officer Abdi Mohamud will visit the site of the grabbed Sh2.8 billion recovered land and brief members of the media on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 11 am.

The press briefing will take place at Karura Forest, Gate A, along Limuru Road.

According to the Commission, the briefing will also be attended by officials from the Kenya Forest Service (KFS), which manages the forest reserve.

The EACC said the 7.11 hectares of public land valued at approximately Sh2.8 billion had been illegally acquired by prominent individuals.

The reclaimed property forms part of Nairobi’s Karura Forest, one of the capital’s most vital green spaces.

The anti-graft body described the recovery as a major step in protecting public assets from illegal encroachment and restoring integrity in land management.

The EACC said the recovery underscores its commitment to reclaiming public assets and ensuring that land set aside for environmental conservation remains protected.
