
A woman was found dead with stab wounds after a tragic domestic fight with her husband in Likoni area, Mombasa County.
Police said the body of Anne Kawira,
21, was found with deep cuts in the neck, chest and stomach and lying in a pool
of blood after the fight on Sunday, October 26, 2025, morning.
Her husband was also found lying on
the floor unconscious with stab wounds in the neck, police said.
He was rushed to the hospital in
critical condition, police said.
Neighbours told police the two had
been quarrelling overnight before they stabbed each other.
It is not clear what had triggered the
quarrel that turned tragic, police said, adding they are waiting for the husband
to recover to talk to him over the same.
The body of the woman was moved to the
mortuary pending an autopsy.
Police said a kitchen knife believed to have been used in the attack was recovered at the scene.
Elsewhere in
Nyakoe, Kisii County, a 15-year-old girl was found dead in their house after
she was beaten up by a relative for spending a night out without permission.
The assailant, who is an uncle to the deceased, escaped the home after the girl was found
unresponsive, police said.
Police said the
body of the girl had injuries on the back of the head, and there were blood
stains in the house.
She had spent
the night away from home, which angered the relative to punish her. The
punishment turned fatal, police said.
The body was
moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Police said they are
looking for the relative for grilling. Capital punishment is illegal and is
punishable by law.
In Bomet’s
Konoin area, police said they are investigating the death of a 53-year-old man
in a woman’s house.
The man
identified as Boniface Ochieng was found dead in the room while his female
friend was away.
The incident
was detected Sunday evening, long after the man had died, police said.
The cause of the death is yet to be known.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy, police said.
