

Detectives are investigating an incident in which a minor was slashed and killed in Nyamusi’s Bokeira village, Nyamira County.
The incident happened on Friday night and left a two-year-old boy with fatal head injuries.
Police said the boy was attacked by his aunt following a domestic dispute at their home.
The assailant was found holding the boy’s injured head with a panga she had used in the attack. She later dropped the panga and escaped the scene, police said.
Officers visited the scene and moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy. The hunt for the woman is ongoing, police added.
The murder weapon was found at the scene and kept as an exhibit.
In Nalondo, Bungoma County, one Dennis Buluma, 31, was found dead on the Ngalasia-Kibochi road after a suspected murder.
Police said the body had visible injuries on the head, back, and chest, suspected to have been caused by a blunt object. The motive of the murder is yet to be established.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and further investigations.
In the Drive-In area of Nairobi, a woman identified as Deborah Awinja, 45, was found dead in her house after she had complained of a toothache.
Her son told police that she had complained of the toothache and retired to bed after taking painkillers but failed to wake up on October 24. He called a doctor from a nearby clinic who confirmed she had died.
Police were informed and later moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Meanwhile, police in Msambweni, Kwale County, are investigating an incident in which a 27-year-old man was found murdered, his body abandoned in a corridor of their family home.
The incident happened in the Zigira area on October 24, 2025, police said.
The deceased was identified as Said Omar Mwakitsusi. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and further investigations.
In Sotik, Bomet County, one suspect was arrested over the murder of Ken Bosco, who was killed on June 22, 2025, in an attack. Police said the suspect will be arraigned on October 27, 2025.
In Mutuati, Meru County, one Miris Kilaa, 80, was found dead on the roadside after a suspected murder.
Police said the body had visible injuries on the neck when it was found. The motive of the murder is yet to be known, police said, adding that no arrest has been made so far.

Murder cases have been on the rise in the country amid efforts to solve them. Police say up to eight cases are reported daily in the worrying trend, with some still unsolved.
