It was a mix of joy, chaos, and destruction as the mortal remains of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga were brought to the Kasarani Stadium for public viewing on Thursday.

Kenyans thronged the national stadium to pay their last respects for the ODM leaders after the viewing venue was moved from the Parliament Buildings due to logistical challenges.

The security officers were forced to disperse the crowds using tear gas canisters after they overwhelmed them; however, calm was later restored, and the dignitaries, led by President William Ruto and the Odinga family, viewed the body inside the Kasarani VIP Lounge before the public got a chance to experience the same at the stadium grounds.
