The Registrar of Political Parties John Cox Lorionokou and Assistant Registrar, Agatha Wahome on Monday took their oaths of office as they begin to discharge their new mandates.

The ceremony was held at the Supreme Court of Kenya and presided over by the Chief Justice Martha Koome.

This follows their appointments by President William Ruto. They will each hold office for the next six years.

Lorionokou will take over from Sophia Sitati who has been serving as the Acting Registrar of Political Parties from July 14, 2025.
